These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Seatmate. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
Seatmate is a platform that connects independent drivers offering rides with riders looking for a seat, in and around Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Seatmate does not own vehicles and does not employ drivers — drivers are independent individuals who choose to post rides. Seatmate simply helps match riders and drivers and provides tools to communicate and coordinate a trip.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Seatmate, whether as a rider or a driver. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You agree not to use Seatmate to harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger any other user. Accounts that violate this, misuse the emergency/SOS feature, or otherwise abuse the platform may be suspended or removed at our discretion.
Riders and drivers may rate each other after a ride to help keep the community trustworthy. Please cancel as early as possible if you can no longer make a ride, out of courtesy to the other party. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect your ability to use the app.
Seatmate offers optional safety tools, including the ability to add an emergency contact and trigger an in-app emergency alert. These tools are provided to help, but Seatmate is not a substitute for local emergency services — if you are in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services directly.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between Seatmate and any driver or rider. Drivers are independent and responsible for complying with applicable local transport laws.
Seatmate provides a matching platform and does not control the conduct of riders or drivers, or the condition of any vehicle. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seatmate is not liable for disputes, losses, injuries, or damages arising from a ride arranged through the app. Use the app and arrange rides at your own judgment and discretion.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or if we're required to by law. You may stop using Seatmate and delete your account at any time — see our Data Deletion page.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the effective date above and let you know inside the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable local law.
