Account & Data Deletion
Seatmate — ride sharing in Islamabad & Rawalpindi
You can delete your Seatmate account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open the Seatmate app and log in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
This is the fastest option — your account is deleted right away, no waiting on a reply.
Option 2: Email us
If you can't access the app, email privacy@seatmate.codes from the email address (or mention the phone number) associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We'll verify it's really you and process the deletion.
We aim to complete email deletion requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, phone number, gender if provided)
- Your emergency contact, if you added one
- Your saved vehicle details (drivers)
- Your notifications and pending ride requests
One exception: if you completed a ride with another user, some basic trip records (route, date, time) may be kept for safety and accountability purposes, but are detached from your personal identity wherever possible. This mirrors how most ride-sharing platforms handle completed trip records.
